PCB likely to shift Pak vs Eng Test match venue to Karachi due to PTI’s long march
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to change the venue for the opening Test of the Pakistan-England Test series from Rawalpindi to Karachi due to the ongoing PTI’s Haqiqi Azadi March.
According to the schedule, the England cricket team has to reach Islamabad on the morning of November 27. The first test of the three-match series is scheduled from December 1 at Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi, the second test of the series to be played on December 9 in Multan and the third in Karachi on December 17.
If political unrest continues in the twin cities, the first Test will be shifted to the port city which is already scheduled to host the last match and Multan will host the second Test.
There is no decision made so far on venue changes, reports suggest that the decision will be made in a couple of days.
On the other hand, sources in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have said that the board is considering on Plan B option, while all stakeholders will decide the venue after consultation.
