Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB) has canceled a training camp ahead of a tour through England.
The PCB spokesperson said it is estimated that providing logistical and operational issues to provide a safe environment for players will be a challenge given the Coronavirus situation in Pakistan over the coming weeks.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has therefore decided not to hold a training camp until the national cricket team leaves for England.
The statement said, “The PCB is already in discussions with the England Cricket Board (ECB) to bring forward their early July departure date for England so the Pakistan squad can benefit from the additional practice time there.”
In addition, coronavirus testing of players and support staff, gathering in Lahore before departure to England and training and match schedule will be announced soon in England.
In the current situation, the PCB has told the players that they should not practice in cricket grounds and should follow social distance protocols strictly. These guidelines are for their and their families to be better off.
