Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed former cricketer Younis Khan as the batting coach of the national team. Arshad Khan has been appointed as the bowling coach of the women’s team.

Younis Khan has been appointed at least until the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

Earlier, Younis Khan had also served as the batting coach of the national cricket team during the tour of England. The former captain will now play the same role in the tour of New Zealand.

Younis Khan scored 10099 runs in 118 Test matches, 7249 runs in 265 ODIs and 442 runs in 25 Twenty20 Internationals.

He scored the most 34 Test centuries for Pakistan. His best score was 313 against Sri Lanka in Karachi in 2009.

Younis Khan was also the captain of the Pakistan cricket team that won the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2009. In the final of the event, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka to win the title.

PCB chief executive Wasim Khan said that even if the national cricket team was not busy, he planned to benefit from Younis Khan’s experience and ability.

He said he was happy that Younis Khan would now work with us as a batting coach for at least the next two years.

Younis Khan has said in this regard that he is also interested in working at the domestic level. Efforts will be made to identify talented players in a timely manner and hone their skills.
