PCB announces 17-player Test squad against South Africa
KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 17- players’ squad for the first Test match against South Africa commencing on Tuesday (tomorrow).
However, three other players would be part of the training sessions which would be held at the National Stadium Karachi.
Abid Ali and Imran Butt have been selected as openers. Azhar Ali, Babar Azam, Fawad Alam and Saud Shakeel announced to be the middle-order batsmen.
Moreover, the cricket selectors listed Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan and Yasir Shah under the spinner’s category.
Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Tabish Khan will be seen as fast bowlers in the team.
The 17 player-squad features Mohammad Rizwan and Sarfaraz Ahmed as wicket keepers and Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Nawaz as all-rounders.
