PCB announced playing conditions for PSL 7
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the playing conditions for the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL). According to which the corona test of at least 13 players of a team will not stop the match in case of negative.
According to the details, amendments made by the PCB, in case of a player’s corona test being positive, the team can add any player in the reserve pool as a substitute in its squad with the permission of the technical committee. According to the PCB, playing XI, including an emerging cricketer, can have a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 8 local players, but if a team’s players are infected with the corona virus, then 11 out of 11 local players of the team will also be allowed to take the field.
The playing conditions announced by the PCB also stipulate punishment for the bowling side for not completing the overs within the stipulated time. In any case, Fielding Lloyd must complete 19 overs of the innings in the allotted time, otherwise the condition of placing one fielder outside the circle of 30 yards for the last over of the match will apply as a ‘penalty’.
The PCB has reserved an extra day for the final match of the league but if for any reason the match could not be completed on that day then the team at the top of the points table after 30 league matches will be declared the champion.
