Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has agreed to extend the closure of domestic flights to tackle the coronavirus pandemic until 7 May 2020.
The official twitter account of PCAA said, “As per the decision of the GoP, the suspension of Domestic flight operations as effected earlier has been extended upto Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 2359 hours PST.”
PCAA added that the existing requirements as applicable for the suspension of domestic flights expressed in previous orders remain unchanged.
Flight service in Pakistan had been suspended earlier on April 18, until April 30.
According to CAA, cargo/special and relief planes can continue operations in compliance with the permits previously issued.
“As per the decision of the Government of Pakistan, the suspension of international and domestic flight operations as effected earlier has been extended up to Thursday, April 30, 2020, 11.59pm PST,” CAA said.
