Parents hold protest against school owners in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: Parents of school children on Thursday held a protest outside Peshawar Press Club against owners of private schools.
The placards they were holding read, ‘No school, no fees’, ‘Why do you charge us fee, when schools were closed during coronavirus pandemic?’, ‘Representatives of private school mafia are sitting on the government benches’ and other slogans.
They demanded from the Peshawar High Court to take immediate notice of fee-charging. They said the private school regulatory authority was merely a cheating organization. They asked why were kids being charged fees when they did not attend school classes.
