Pantone reveals “color of the year 2023”
The worldwide color authority Pantone reveals its Color of the Year and it’s a vibrant magenta called ‘Viva Magenta’.
The global color authority reveals its Color of the Year every December, and its 2023 choice is a vibrant relative of the red family.
The official Instagram page of Pantone released the official statement which reads, “Brave and fearless, (Viva Magenta) is a pulsating colour whose exuberance promotes optimism and joy.
“Powerful and empowering, it is an animated red that encourages experimentation and self-expression without restraint; an electrifying, boundaryless shade”, the statement read.
The Company call the shade “audacious, witty, and inclusive to everyone”.
The shade was chosen by the Pantone Color Institute to represent modern trends in a wide range of fields, including fashion, cosmetics, technology, design, and interior decorating.
The company considered the challenges of the past two years brought on by the COVID-19 outbreak when deciding on the yearly colour.
It was time to choose a colour that represents optimism, power, and motion.
