Pandora Papers should be investigated like Panama Papers – Khaqan demands

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), said Justice requires that those identified in the Pandora Papers be imprisoned and treated similarly to opposition figures.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, while dismissing the cell created by the existing administration to examine the Pandora Papers, stated that it has no value because committees have been formed in the past but not a single one has been able to give its decision.
He further stated that while Nawaz Sharif was not mentioned in the Panama Papers, he appeared before the JIT established to probe the papers. He went on to say that the Pandora documents should be investigated in the same way.

While speaking to members of the media in Islamabad, he stated that three years have passed but no charges against the opposition have been filed because the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) imprisons individuals first and then builds a case against them.
Earlier, Marriyum Aurangzeb, the PML-N spokeswoman, stated that the Pandora Papers cannot be probed while Prime Minister Imran Khan is in government. She said that the unit was not created to arrest corrupts, but rather to safeguard mafias and cabinet members who control offshore firms.
Prime Minister Imran Khan established a three-member high-level investigative cell to investigate the Pandora Papers.
