The Pakistan’s legendary director and producer, Syed Suleman has passed away on Wednesday (today) in Lahore.
Syed Suleman’s family revealed that he had been suffering from kidney related issues and was also battling diabetes.
Moreover, he had been hospitalized quite a few times before. His health deteriorated two days prior to his death.
According to his wife, Zareen, Suleman’s funeral prayers will be offered in Lahore on Friday as soon as their son returns to Pakistan.
He has directed over 60 films through the course of his careers. His films include superhits such as Mari, Baji, Zeenat, Uf yah Biwiyan, Muhabbat, Aag, insaniat, Lori, and Tari Surat Mari Aankhyn. Suleiman’s film Zeenat became the inspiration for Bollywood film Baghbaan.
The legendary director has also been awarded by the Sitara e Imtiaz and Pride of Performance award by the government of Pakistan.
Syed Suleman has won 10 Nigar Awards in his lifetime with a total of 50 awards both national and international.
