Pakistan’s first partially blind rapper, Muhammad Khalid Anwer, is 25 years old and holds a master’s degree in Mass Communication.
Khalid got inspiration from “Burger-e-Karachi”, Ali Gul Pir’s “Wadere ka beta” and tried rapping his own poetries.
He has performed in his school’s farewell event and received immense accolade.
“I kept my dreams unfulfilled as I am partially blind since birth but doctors told that within time it would get cured. However, in 2017 I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP)” said Khalid.
People recommended Khalid to opt for recording his rapping in audios but he desired to shoot videos, as he considers rapping requires the portrayal of body language and facial expressions.
Khalid believes that acquiring challenges is route to proving yourself.
Moreover, Khalid said, “Everything initiates with dreams, if you don’t have dreams you will not have anything to fulfil.”
