Karachi: Pakistan’s external debt has increased by 7 billion dollars in one year.
According to the SBP, the volume of external debt as of June 30, 2019, was 6 106 billion dollars, which has increased to 113 billion dollars by June 30, 2020.
According to the central bank, external debt was 96 billion dollars in September 2018 and the current government borrowed 17 billion dollars so far.
According to the SBP, the current government has borrowed 1.7 billion dollars from IMF, 1.2 billion dollars from commercial banks, and 3.1 billion dollars from various countries.
