Pakistan’s default won’t damage ‘gang of thieves’ or their interests: Imran Khan

Former prime minister Imran Khan lased out at the ruling coalition government saying, “gang of thieves has properties in foreign countries worth billions of dollars, hence they do not care about the economic collapse of the country.”
Addressing a press conference, PTI chairman feared that the ruling coalition will lead the country towards default situation as the country is facing political unstability.
“Economic stability will come after political stability and it will come after early elections,” he added.
The former prime minister furthered if Pakistan’s default risk has increased to 100 percent; no commercial bank or investor will invest as the ruling coalition has no road map for it.
Referring to PML-N supremo and PPP co chairman’s alleged corruption cases, he said: ‘I know Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari will never accept the demand for early elections as they fear of being arrested in corruption cases.”
He claimed that former president and former prime minister wanted to close the corruption cases against them with the help of NRO-2, adding that, “everyone knows that General (retd) Bajwa gave them NRO-2.”
He also accused the Election Commission of Pakistan and the establishment of supporting the ruling alliance led by the PML-N during the recent by-polls in the country.
“Maryam Nawaz reached [homeland] first, then Ishq Day was dry cleaned and now Suleman Shehbaz would be dry cleaned,” Imran Khan said.
During the press conference, Imran Khan was asked whether it is constitutionally correct to invite state institutions to intervene in the politics. In response, Khan referred to various measures taken by the ruling government and questioned whether all these measures were constitutional.
