Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 12 deaths and 624 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
According to National Command and Control Center (NCOC), around 624 cases of coronavirus were reported while 12 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 6,535.
The total number of infections has reached 316,315 in the country.
As many as 301,288 patients have recovered from the disease while more than 499 patients are reported to be in critical condition.
After a sharp increase in the cases, the number of patients swelled to 100,148 in Punjab. The province reported more than 2240 coronavirus (COVID-19) causalities.
The cases of infection have surged to 138,891 in Sindh, the most affected region in Pakistan. The death toll has reached to 2521 in the province.
The confirmed cases have surged to 38,141 in the province while the death toll has surged to 1262 in KPK. There are 15,439 confirmed cases while 146 patients died of the infection so far in Balochistan.
There are 3,884 coronavirus cases in the GB while there are 2,912 cases in AJK. 16,936 cases are in the capital city while 183 people have lost their lives.
