ISLAMABAD: Pakistani passengers and transporters stranded in Afghanistan because of Coronavirus lockdown will start returning to Pakistan through Torkham border on Friday (today).
The decision to this effect was taken at a flagship meeting held between the Afghan and Pakistani authorities at Torkham border.
Two hundred Pakistanis will be brought back today while five hundred will return on Saturday (tomorrow).
In a video message on April 13, more than 800 Pakistanis stranded in Afghanistan had asked the government to bring them back to their homes.
The stranded Pakistanis had relayed that eatables were finished with them and all their money was spent. Most of the people stranded in Afghanistan were drivers and their assistants.
