Local media sources have reported that IMEWE-3 international submarine cable, which carries most of the Pakistan’s internet traffic, has gone offline.
Large number of consumers are facing trouble in connecting internet and some others are facing low speed issue.
“It must be mentioned here that ISPs load balance the bandwidth during such outages, however, the overall demand is met with shortage of bandwidth that leaves a negative impact on internet speeds and user experience,” ProPakistani reported.
ProPakistani quoted sources as saying that the turnaround time for repairing of the cable has not be given, however it is estimated that the repairing work could take several more hours to complete.
Multiple cables transfer bandwidth to Pakistan though, but problem in even one major cable can cause trouble throughout the country.
