Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan reveals name of his ‘ameer’
Pakistan’s ace wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan revealed the name of his and the national team’s “ameer” (leader).
In a Twitter Space hosted by Pakistan Cricket, Rizwan said that Pakistan’s all-format skipper Babar Azam was his, as well as, the national team’s “Ameer”, and his decision was accepted by all.
Talking to his fans on Twitter space on Sunday, Mohammad Rizwan said that it is very important to understand the real purpose of Independence Day.
“Every citizen of the country has love for his motherland, everyone wants Pakistan to be like other countries in the world,” he said.
Mohammad Rizwan added that if love for each other and the country prevail in the heart, ease will arise, while keeping religion first and one should not be ashamed of religion.
Rizwan also talked about the Pakistan-India clash in last year’s ICC T20 World Cup and said that the atmosphere in the dressing room before the clash was great.
“I had no idea how big the match was, so I considered it a normal one,” he added.
He said: “Batting position, keeping gloves and everything is the captain’s decision, our captain is our Ameer.”
Mohammad Rizwan said that, Pakistan Super League (PSL) has now become a big brand.
Apart from this, while talking about the athletes who performed brilliantly in the Commonwealth and Islamic Solidarity Games, he said that, “once again I congratulate the gold medal winners, I wish that other sports in Pakistan will also develop.”
