Pakistani Twitter stands with India amid COVID crisis

Pakistani Twitter shows trends where netizens are expressing concerns over the worsening situation of COVID crisis in India.
“I want to express our solidarity with the people of India as they battle a dangerous wave of COVID-19,” Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted on Saturday as #PakistanstandswithIndia became a top trend on social media.
The PM added that we had to fight this global challenge together. Earlier Pakistani philanthropist Faisal Edhi , son of Abdul Sattar Edhi, had written a letter to Indian premier Narendra Modi.
In the letter, Edhi offered to arrange all the necessary supplies to assist the people of India.
India on Saturday reported another record-breaking single-day rise in COVID cases with 346,786 new cases in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, the country’s death toll rose to 189,544 as 2,624 more deaths were reported in a single day.
