Pakistani Twitter disgusted by British recipe of “Chicken Korma”
A popular online food channel named Tasty UK shared a recipe and called it “one-pot Chicken Korma”. The video sparked outrage on Twitter for all the right reasons.
There is no doubt that South Asia is full of flavours and authentic recipes. “Desi People” don’t take it lightly when uncalled westernised versions of desi dishes make rounds on the internet for all the wrong reasons.
A popular online food channel named Tasty UK shared a recipe and called it “one-pot Chicken Korma”. The UK version of korma (if you can even call it that) consisted of combining meat and rice in a single frying pot and cooking it to atrocity, in contrast to the traditional rich and flavorful gravy we make in Pakistan.
The video sparked outrage on Twitter and all the “Desi People” are demanding to release an apology for insulting their royal dish “Korma”.
