SWAT: Pakistani skiers took the lead on first day of Chief of the Air Staff International Karakoram Alpine Ski Cup at the captivating Malam Jabba ski resort in Swat.
Local skier Muhammed Kareem won the giant slalom in men’s category on Wednesday. While, Ukrainian skiers Naz Aretae and Iawan Crowchek stood second and third respectively.
In women’s category, Pakistani Koshem Sahiba, Amaima Wali and Jia Ali took first, second and third positions respectively.
At least 36 international skiers have arrived in Pakistan to participate in different categories of international ski races at the captivating Malam Jabba ski resort in Swat.

The skiers will participate in slalom and giant slalom categories of Chief of the Air Staff International Karakoram Alpine Ski Cup. They hail from different countries including Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Jordan, Tajikistan, Canada, Greece and Ukraine.
The tournament will not only promote tourism in Pakistan but will also be helpful in staging other international sports as well in the country.
