LAHORE: The Pakistani man who claims to be a mogul, Kashif Zameer has been arrested in a case pertaining to threatening to kill some journalists in Lahore.
The suspect reportedly threatened the journalists for reporting negatively against him after he hosted ‘Ertugrul’.
Kashif Zameer recently brought famous Turkish actor Engin Altan to Pakistan on a sponsored visit. He has allegedly denied to pay the protagonist of drama serial ‘Dirilish: Ertugrul’ the money he had promised him under a deal.
The suspect has eight cases against him including of fraud, betrayal of trust, car theft and robbery.
Engin Altan, who fights conspiracies in the popular Turkish drama series Ertugrul Ghazi, could not realize that the man he was dealing with was a swindler.
The suspect claims to be Managing Director of Chaudhry Groups of Companies. During his visit to Turkey, Engin Altan had given three rings of Ertugrul character of super hit drama series ‘Dirilis: Ertugrul’ as a present to the Pakistani businessman.
Kashif Zameer, in an interview with Daily Pakistan anchorperson Yasir Shami, had revealed that he met ‘Ertugrul’ and presented him a gold ring worth Rs6 million.
He is fond of gold and always keeps wearing a 1.5 kg gold chain around his neck, and about 0.25 kg gold bracelet and rings. He also possesses a diamond-cut wrist watch worth one crore Pakistani rupees.
However, reports are circulating in local media that the chain that he wears around his neck is of silver covered with water gold.
An ARY News reporter revealed that the governor Punjab himself was surprised that such a big actor had come on invitation of a businessman, while he should have been a state guest. He also alleged that after talking to senior police officers he had reached this.
