Pakistani embassy officer dismissed for harassing housemaid

ISLAMABAD: A senior Pakistani embassy officer has been dismissed from his service for violation of discipline and misuse of his authority in Ukraine’s capital city Kiev.

According to the notification issued by the Foreign Ministry of Pakistani, First Secretary of the embassy Waqar Ahmed tried to physically harass a local housemaid and upon failure in achieving his ill-intention, he became a foe to the maid and then sacked her from job.

The notification said that the 18 grade officer conducted serious violation of service discipline and misused his authority.

Foreign Ministry Director Asif Khan said that the dismissal has come into effect immediately under the government servants discipline rules. The Foreign Office spokesperson has not given any statement in this regard.
