As the COVID-19 pandemic rages on and takes a heavy toll on the poorest population of the country, celebrities are doing their share of helping out the needy in the best way they can.

Feroze Khan was the pioneer of the project, broadcasting it on his Instagram story and urging his fans to contribute and do the same.

“Anyone needs to contribute in proportion packs. It tends to be Zakaat too. I am getting proportion sacks made of essential necessities. Plz get in touch with me on the off chance that anybody is intrigued to contribute,” he said.

The actor planned out how to get 100 apportion sacks to the needy.

Actress Maya Ali followed, getting proportion sacks made and delivered to her home for distribution. She shared photos on her Instagram and captioned it:

“This is the main bunch of apportion packs which has quite recently shown up. It’s the correct time when we should have our impact and shouldn’t trust that others will come and spare individuals. We sure need to meet up during these difficult occasions and help those out of luck. Not every person can endure a lock-down except if obviously, we help them here and there. We would all be able to do our bit, right?”

Hira Mani also stepped forward and donated ration bags to the needy.

Some celebrities paid tribute to the frontline health workers, doctors, nurses and parademics battling with all their might.

Ali Zafar performed a rendition of “Ye Watan Tumhara Hai Tum Ho Pasban Is Ke” as a tribute to the unsung heroes of this difficult time.

"Ye Watan Tumhara HaiTum Ho Pasban Is Ke"My tribute to the doctors, nurses, paramedics, Pak Army, rangers, police and all the workers who are fighting against the virus in front lines risking their lives to protect ours. These are difficult times and we must act in unity. The “Ali Zafar foundation” is delivering “Rashan” (food and basic medical supply) to the daily wagers and the poor.
