Pakistani businessmen eager to participate in Dubai Expo 2020

The Pakistani businessmen have shown interest in participating in Dubai Expo 2020 as they find it a great opportunity to increase businesses.
According to the Events360, founder and Managing Director, Hira Saleem the Dubai Expo 2020 a great opportunity for small and medium scale businesses of Pakistan to built up relations internationally which would help in strengthening their business.
Moreover, the Quality Aviation Head of Sales and Marketing Muhammad Shakir Makani said that seminars were being organised in major business chambers of Pakistan to raise awareness and highlight the significance of the global fair.
“The event will also be of great interest for those who could not go abroad for tourism during Covid as they can learn about the culture of 191 countries,” he said.
He also revealed that promotional activities would be accelerated in the near future to spread more information about the event.
The Dubai Expo will be held from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 allowing participants and visitors from 191 countries.

In a recent press release issued by the BIE (Bureau International des Expositions) it stated that the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) requested a change in dates of Expo 2020 Dubai following a meeting of the Expo 2020 Dubai Steering Committee in which participating countries expressed their need to postpone the Expo’s opening to overcome the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Voting on the postponement commenced on April 24th and was carried out remotely by the government-appointed delegates of the BIE’s 170 Member States. A majority of two-thirds was reached as early as May 4th, voting remained open in accordance with the Executive Committee’s recommendation until May 29th.
