Pakistani actor Tariq Malik, who has played Murad ‘s character in the Guest House drama, passed away on Thursday.

The popular drama addressed lighthearted challenges faced by travellers.

Actor Afzal Khan played the part of sweeper Jan Rambo while Malik starred alongside him in the drama as a helpful waiter.

Malik also remained long associated with Radio Pakistan, in addition to Pakistan Television.

He was initially diagnosed with typhoid, and tested positive two days ago.

The actor died Thursday of a cardiac arrest.
