Pakistan women cricket team stuck in Zimbabwe
ICC Women’s World Cup qualifiers are underway in Zimbabwe. Nine teams including Pakistan are participating in the tournament.
After the discovery of the new Covid-19 variant “Omicron,” many countries have imposed travel bans from the southern African countries including Zimbabwe.
Flight operations linked with these countries have also come to a halt.
After this news, the Pakistan women team along with eight other participating countries squads are now stranded in Zimbabwe.
Gulf Airlines have called of their flight operations. It should be mentioned that the United Arab Emirates has immediately banned flights from southern African countries including South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
Nine teams participating in the tournament are currently stranded and waiting for further development about their passageway out.
