RAWALPINDI: DGISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said on Sunday that there will not be any compromise on national security and Pakistan will not be part of any peace-breaking process in the region.
DGISPR Major General has also said that the situation in the region has changed since the attack on the Iranian general. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke to Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in this regard.
Despite the worsening tensions between the Iran and the US, Pakistan is moving towards better conditions. After many sacrifices, peace has finally been established in Pakistan, he added.
According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, Pakistan has been facing security issues for the last four decades and the country has a status in the region. Pakistan has done everything possible for peace in the region, it will not be a part of any peace-breaking process.
The country has played a role in the Afghan reconciliation process, secured the Pak-Afghan border, and defeated the terrorists in the region.
Major Gen Ghafoor also pointed out that when India showed aggression, Pakistan dropped two planes and proved against India a capable army, and its dedication to contribute to peace.
Pakistan will not allow their land to be used against anyone, he added.
Domestic security will be not be compromised. Forces as well as India know how strong the defense of Pakistan is, he remarked.
