Pakistan wants to maintain cooperation and relationship with IMF: Miftah Ismail

PML-N leader Miftah Ismail has said that he was currently preparing for a meeting with the IMF, further adding that Pakistan wanted to maintain cooperation and relationship with the IMF.
Miftah Ismail said that the seventh review talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be held today.
On the other hand, sources said that for the approval of the seventh review, the IMF demanded that the oil rate and petroleum levy be increased.
According to sources, the IMF was also demanding changes in the income tax slab while the IMF was also objecting to the subsidy of the government of Pakistan to various sectors.
Sources said that the increase in energy prices was also among the demands of the IMF.
