The Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi called on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the side-lines of 8th Ministerial meeting of the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process in Turkey on Monday.
Qureshi expressed his warmest wishes for the people and Government of Turkey on behalf of the public and the Government of Pakistan. He also highlighted the historical relations between the two countries.

The Foreign Minister also met with Turkish counterpart Mevluv Cavusoglu. The two sides agreed upon continuing to expand relations in new areas of mutual interest, specifically bilateral economic relations.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi also briefly met with Acting Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia, Alice G. Wells, on the side-lines of the meeting during which matters in regards to enhancing Pakistan-Afghanistan bilateral trade were talked about.
