Pakistan, TTP agree on temporary ceasefire after ‘successful talk’

Zabihullah Mujahid, Afghanistan’s Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Spokesman for the Taliban, has said that a temporary ceasefire has been agreed between the government of Pakistan and the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Zabihullah Mujahid said that talks between Pakistan and the banned TTP were held in Kabul under the mediation of the Afghan government.
He said significant progress had been made during the talks and both agreed on a temporary ceasefire.
He further said that the Afghan government expressed good wishes for the negotiation process and also wished to show tolerance and flexibility in the negotiations with the parties.
Notably, last night it was reported that talks between the government of Pakistan and the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Afghanistan have progressed and Pakistan has released 30 banned TTP prisoners.
