Pakistan to witness first Lunar Eclipse of 2020 tonight

First Lunar Eclipse of 2020 will be witnessed in Pakistan tonight. It will be seen between Friday (January 10) and Saturday (January 11) night.

Read: First lunar eclipse of the year will be witnessed between Jan 10-11’s night

As per details, the lunar eclipse will be penumbral and will be seen in Pakistan as well as in different cities of Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa. The lunar eclipse will not be visible in the United States, central Canada and majority of South America.

A penumbral lunar cclipse occurs in the imperfect conjunction of the Sun,
Earth, and Moon. When this happens, the Earth blocks some of the light of
the Sun from touching the surface of the Moon directly.

According to details, the eclipse will start at 10:07 pm and will become a full eclipse at 12:07 am. The eclipse will end at 2:12 am and the moon will emerge from the shadow of the earth.
