 Pakistan to soon start manufacturing thread using ‘bhang’

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Monday said that the government of Pakistan had prepared thread with the help of hemp plant, also known as bhang locally.

In an interview with a news channel, he said jeans of international standard were also produced using the same thread.

Fawad Chaudhry, giving good news from science and technology sector, said that first mobile phone manufacturing company had been established in Lahore. He said Pakistan should manufacture its own mobile phone sets.

“Pakistan will capitalize on economic fighting between China and the United States by strengthening semiconductors industry which would yield billions of dollars,” he said.

He said the government in collaboration with companies was going to introduce certificate courses to encourage parents to provide their kids skilled education.
