Pakistan to request Saudi Arabia to take action against unruly crowd involved in Madina incident

ISLAMABAD: Following the slogan-chanting at Masjid-e-Nabvi (PBUH) against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Friday announced that Pakistan would request Saudi Arabia to take action against those involved.
Addressing the press conference in Islamabad, Rana Sanaullah said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan and former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid were behind the incident at Masjid-e-Nabvi.
The interior minister said that he is under severe pressure after last night’s incident; however, he has asked everybody to refrain from taking any action, warning them of party discipline against them if anyone took any action.
“It is very easy to gather and send around fifty men but this action makes politics difficult,” he said, adding that this is not good for the parliamentary system.” he added.
The Interior Minister said that his ministry was going to request the Saudi authorities to take action against those involved in the incident and also send the identities of those involved in the incident to Pakistan so that legal action could be taken against them.
Rana Sanaullah further said that this incident could arouse religious sentiments and create unrest in the country, these people should be sent back from the Holy Land, CCTV footage is being sought to take action against them, the law ministry has been asked to advise us if we can sue them or not.
