Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi announced on Saturday that Kartarpur Corridor would reopen on Monday.
The minister said in a tweet that while many worship places around the world are being reopened, Pakistan is also planning to open the corridor for all Sikh pilgrims. He further said Pakistan is communicating its readiness to open the Kartarpur Corridor to India on June 29.
“To ensure adherence to the health guidelines, Pakistan has invited India to work out necessary SOPs for reopening of the corridor,” Foreign Office said.
Due to the growing number of cases of coronavirus, the corridor was closed in March.
