Pakistan to receive $4mn aid from Japan to fight coronavirus

Japan has agreed to help Pakistan combat the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
Pakistan will likely receive $4 million worth of funding in the fifth tranche.
According to a press release from the Japanese Embassy, Pakistan had previously received total assistance of $3,410,000 through the United Nations Children’s Fund, the International Organization for Migration, the International Federation of Red Cross and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
According to sources, the UN Office for Project Services will provide technical assistance as well as equipment to monitor the coronavirus spread in Pakistan.
