RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army and Russian Federation Special Forces on Tuesday held joint exercise DRUZHBA-V at Tarbela area of Haripur district.
“The participating troops are engaged in practicing Counter Terrorism drills and procedures, rappelling and preparations for sky diving. Sports activities are also part of exercise,” said a statement issued by the media wing of armed forces, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
On Nov 5, Russian Federation Special Forces’ contingent had arrived in Pakistan for two weeks long joint exercise, DRUZHBA 5.
The ISPR had said the exercise was aimed at sharing both armies’ experiences in counter terrorism domain.
“Sky diving and hostage rescue operations will be highlights of exercise DRUZHBA,” the ISPR had said.
