Pakistan rejects Afghanistan’s position on border fencing

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan rejected Afghan media reports and a statement from the Afghan Foreign Ministry about the fence.

In a statement issued from Islamabad, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that the Pak-Afghan border rejects the practice of erecting a fence by the Pakistani army as illegal. Exactly, the fencing process is not encroaching on Afghan territory.

The Foreign Office spokesman said that the Afghan side was advised to discuss the relevant institutional mechanism to clear up any misunderstanding on border issues, adding that Pakistan’s proposal for a joint survey by Afghanistan had not been met with a positive response.
