Pakistan Railways to resume operation from tomorrow

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Railways has announced to resume train operation from Wednesday (tomorrow) across the country.

The Ministry of Railways has issued schedule of trains to be run on Eid ul Fitr to facilitate masses. Pakistan Railways claims to have made special arrangements for protection of passengers from coronavirus. It has asked passengers to maintain proper physical distance, bring soap, mask, gloves and sanitisers along with you and travel in serious emergency situation only and with minimum number of people.

Booking of tickets would be available online only as booking offices would remain closed. Booking of tickets would be closed after 60 percent occupancy of seats. Families of passengers would not be allowed to come to drop off passengers at platform. Medical officers and staff to ensure social distancing would be available at every stop. Temperature of all the passengers would be checked during travelling. While, sanitiser walk-through gates have been installed at different stations.
