Pakistan Railways to charge Rs500 to passengers violating SOPs

Passengers traveling by train will now be charged Rs500 for not adopting coronavirus SOPs from the government.
It has been noted, according to the Railways management, that passengers have not been following the government’s precautionary measures against the pandemic.
People have not been obeying laws of wearing masks, using sanitisers or adhering to social distancing rules. The management has consequently agreed to fine the violators.
People who more than once breach the instructions will be fined Rs1,000.
The superintendents at all railway stations were instructed to monitor passengers strictly and to ensure the punishment of the violators.
Passengers were asked to bring on trains their own masks, gloves, hand sanitizers and soap. The authorities prohibited the entry of unknown individuals, and constructed walk-through gates to disinfect passengers.
