Pakistan offers enormous opportunities to foreign investors: Nafees Zakaria

ISLAMABAD: High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Kingdom Mohammad Nafees Zakaria on Tuesday said Pakistan, because of its geostrategic location and position offered huge opportunities to the foreign investors.

He said this during a ceremony held to present his credentials to Queen Elizabeth II, at Buckingham Palace London. He offered the investors from the UK to take maximum benefits from the opportunities offered by Pakistan.

The high commissioner, on behalf of the president, the prime minister and the people of Pakistan, conveyed best wishes to the Queen, the royal family, the government and people of the United Kingdom.

Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion warmly welcomed the high commissioner to the Buckingham Palace.

Appreciating friendly relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, the queen extended warm wishes to the government and people of Pakistan.

On June 21, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed had said improved security offered foreign investment in Pakistan, a pivot to regional connectivity.

Addressing the forum on ‘Pakistan’s Regional Security Perspective’ at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London, he had said, “Pakistan is at the cusp of achieving sustainable, irreversible and enduring peace and stability. This can be complemented through meaningful international partnership, support and will to take on regional challenges.”

COAS Bajwa had said future of enduring peace and stability in South Asia hinged on the ability to resolve issues and long pending disputes within the region.
