Pakistan Navy test fires anti-ship missiles
KARACHI: Pakistan Navy on Saturday successfully test fired anti-ship missiles in the north Arabian Sea.
The Pakistan Navy spokesperson said Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbas witnessed the missile firing. Pakistan Navy’s war ships and aircrafts test fired surface to sea anti-ship missiles.
The spokesman said that the successful demonstration of missile firing was a testament of Pakistan Navy’s capabilities and war preparedness.
Ameer ul Behr Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi expressed satisfaction over operational preparedness of Pakistan Navy. He said Pak Navy possessed full capability to give a befitting response to the enemy’s aggression.
On Dec 27 last year, Pakistan Navy had successfully demonstrated firing of different missiles in the north Arabian Sea and at Makran Coast.
Pakistan Navy’s warships and airplanes had fired anti-ship missiles at sea level.
The Fast Attack Craft fired missile from the sea to surface level while missile was also fired from the underwater conventional submarine to the ground. Meanwhile, air-defence missiles were also fired from Makran Coast.
The different fired missiles accurately hit their targets.
