KARACHI: Pakistan Navy is conducting rescue and relief operations in rain-affected areas in the city.

Pakistan Navy officials have also launched a search operation to find the drowned people on Korangi Causeway. According to Pakistan Navy spokesman, rescue teams evacuated people in different parts of Karachi.

Thousands of people in Yousuf Goth, Surjani Town, Nazimabad, and other affected areas were provided with ready-made food and clean drinking water.

The spokesman further said that the medical teams of Pakistan Navy also provided medical aid to hundreds of people trapped in different areas. During the relief operation in the affected areas, aerial survey of different areas was carried out to improve the measures.

On the other hand, Pakistan Navy teams and necessary equipment have been dispatched to fill the gap in Sam Nalla in Mirpur Bathoro. Ration bags were also distributed among hundreds of rain victims in Sujawal.
