Pakistan medical students turn two-week protest into hunger strike

ISLAMABAD: The medical students from tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have turned their two-week protest into a hunger strike, on Friday.
The students have staged protest as the Pakistan Medical Commission has reduced the seats to 29 from 265.
According to a student Asif Mehsood, the students have been staging protest since March 29 but no action has been taken by the government.
Moreover, the protesters said that they will take the matter to senate and will not compromise until their demands are fulfiled.
“We are in favor of the demands of the students, the government is trying to adjust the students this year and is working on a plan of action for the future.” said PTI MNA Sajid Khan.
Sajid Khan also revealed that the matter will be taken over in a meeting next week.
