AirSial has become Pakistan’s third private airway company to operate its planes from the country, local media reported.
The company has announced to launch its operation formally in December, while its inauguration took place with landing of Airbus A320 at the Karachi international airport from America.
AirSial would have launched flights in June the following year, nevertheless it was debarred because of the pandemic.
Sial in the name of the company represents Sialkot city of Pakistan. Being a resident of Sialkot, Pakistani international cricketer Shoaib Malik felt extra affiliation with the airline and expressed immense joy over its launch.
“Finally the much awaited #AirSial #A320 is here, it’s a proud moment for everyone in Sialkot, who has been a part of the process… #ProudSialkoti,” Shoaib Malik tweeted sharing a short video of the plane’s landing.
AirSial Limited Chairman Mr. Fazal Jilani, Senior Vice Chairman Mr. Qaiser Iqbal, Vice Chairman Mr. Muhammad Umer Mir and CEO Mr. Ameen Ahsan were also present on the occasion of the launching ceremony in Karachi. The event is being termed another milestone for Sialkot Chamber of Commerce as without cooperation of the business personalities of the chamber of commerce the dream could not have been realised.
