Pakistan is on top as the fourth day of the Test ends
After a tough third day of the match, the Pakistan team have turned the tides in their favor on the fourth day of the ongoing Test against Bangladesh.
Yesterday, the Pakistan batting lineup collapsed after a good start provided by the openers Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafique.
Pakistan were reduced to 286 runs against Bangladesh’s 330 runs, thanks to Taijul Islam’s seven wickets.
But Pakistan bounced back as the bowlers tried to contain Bangladesh for the least possible total.
Shaheen Shah Afridi’s five-wicket haul helped Pakistan to restrict Bangladesh to 157 runs.
Pakistan was given a target of 202 runs on the fourth day of the Test match.
The bowling momentum was later carried by the opening batsmen. Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafique have scored half-centuries to give Pakistan a commanding position.
The play of the fourth day has ended. Pakistan have scored 109 runs without any loss of wickets.
The national team needs 93 runs to win with 10 wickets in their bag to secure the victory in the first Test match.
This Test is part of the ongoing Test Championship (2021-2023). The importance of this match is very high as the points will matter the most for Pakistan eyeing the final spot of the championship.
