Pakistan is likely to receive a loan installment of One Billion dollars

The IMF Executive Board will meet in Washington today to approve the sixth review of Pakistan’s $6 billion loan program.
After the sixth review, Pakistan is likely to receive a loan installment of one billion dollars. If approved, Pakistan will receive an installment of 1.5 billion dollars.
The Executive Board meeting was extended on January 28 at the request of Pakistan. After the staff level talks, the sixth review was held in November 2021.
The IMF had set five preconditions for the approval of the next installment, which Pakistan has fulfilled all the conditions including Finance Bill, State Bank Bill.
