 Bangladesh fights back as they are 253/4 on stumps of the first Test

The First Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh is being played today in Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong.

Pakistan (Playing 11): Abdullah Shafique, Abid Ali, Azhar Ali, Babar Azam (C), Fawad Alam, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Faheem Ashraf, Nauman Ali, Hassan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Sajid Khan

Bangladesh (Playing 11): Shadman Islam, Saif Hassan, Najmul Shanto, Mominul Haque (C), Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das (wk), Yasir Ali, Mehidy Hassan, Taijul Islam, Abu Jayed, Ebadat Hossain

Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first but it seems to be a wrong call as Pakistan bowlers are on top.

Pakistan team have started the match with a grip on the match despite losing the toss.

By the end of the first session on day 1 of the Test, Pakistani bowlers have grabbed four scalps of Bangladesh batsmen.

Bangladesh have scored 69 runs for the loss of four wickets. Shaheen Shah, Hassan Ali, Faheem Ashraf and Sajid Khan have grabbed a wicket each.

After a clean sweep in the T20 series, Green Shirts will look to clinch the Test series to progress in Test Championship (2021-2023).

Mushfiq, Liton stables Bangladesh after lunch in the first Test. Together they have scored 150 runs partnership. Bangladesh are 200/4.

Liton Das completed his maiden Test century. He was dropped on 67 runs by Sajid Khan on the bowling of Shaheen Shah Afridi.

The first session of the first day of the Test belonged to Pakistan whereas all other sessions were won by Bangladesh.
