Pakistan heartbroken as Australia defeats Pakistan

An amazing game of cricket but Australia comes out on top. Australia clinches victory from the hands of Pakistan. Pakistan was all set to break the jinx of not beating Australia in the knock-out rounds of ICC tournaments but it was not meant to be today.

Pakistani fans were not settled with the defeat of the 2010 T20 World Cup Semi-Final against Australia. Mike Hussey was the hero for Australia in that match. But today’s defeat has rubbed the salt in the wound even more. Australia has booked its place in the Finals of the T20 World Cup. They will face New Zealand in the Finals on Sunday.

Pakistan has played well throughout the tournament as they beat India by 10 wickets to start off their campaign, then they went on to beat New Zealand, Afghanistan, Namibia, and Scotland. Fans were ready to celebrate today’s victory but some chances missed caused the match to Pakistan.

Not the result the nation wanted but we are proud of the Men in Green. They made us proud by qualifying in the Semi-Finals by winning all five matches.

Matthew Wade receives the man-of-the-match award for his blistering match-winning knock.

But Pakistan also celebrated many milestones today as many record records were made by Pakistani players.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan has become the only batsman in T20i history to achieve the milestone of scoring 1000 runs in a calendar year.

Babar Azam has become the fastest batsman to reach 2500 runs in T20is beating Virat Kohli’s record.

Best bowling figures by any bowler in the T20 World Cup Semi-Finals as Shadab Khan secures 4/26 in four overs.

But the nation is absolutely proud of the national cricket team on how they played the entire tournament. Certainly, one for the fans to remember for a long time.
