Pakistan declared third biggest online labour supplier

International Labour Organisation, in its recent report, has said that Pakistan is the third biggest market that supplies labour on online platforms globally.

In its report ” The role of digital labour platforms in transforming the world of work”, the ILO says that Pakistanis form a major part of labour supply in writing and translation, creative and multimedia, software development and technology.

According to the report, digital labour platforms are a distinctive part of the digital economy.

In a worldwide ranking of online labour supply, Pakistan stands at third after Bangladesh (second) and India (top).

However, its overall market performance was slightly dropped in 2020 as compared to 2018, the report’s graph shows.
