Pakistan successfully held training launch of Babur IA cruise missile on Thursday (today).
According to the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), the missile can be launched through a submarine or land-based-quad-launcher and has range of 450 kilometers.
Moreover, it is capable of engaging targets at land and sea with high precision.
After the launch of Shaheen-3 and Ghaznavi ballistic missiles, the Babur IA cruise is the third missile launch in less than a month.
The missile was launched from a state-of-the-art Multi Tube Missile Launch Vehicle. The training launch was witnessed by Dr Raza Samar, Chairman NESCOM, Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command, senior officers of Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, Scientists and Engineers of the strategic organizations.
Chairman NESCOM Dr Raza Samar, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali and other senior military and civilian officials were present during the launch.
The president, prime minister, chairman joint chiefs of staff committee and services chiefs have also congratulated the participating troops on conduct of successful training launch.
